Colors of Jazz #1 — Blue Note Spirit
Somewhere between the Nouvelle Vague, the Film Noir and the Dolce Vita, Loïc Soulat and Matteo Locasciulli have revived the spirit of the 50's and 60's, the tones of "cool jazz" and Blue Note standards.
Here, the drums, the piano, the bass, the trumpet and the saxophone take us into a gentle time travel, through black and white images, evoking the smoky clubs of New York, the cobbled streets of Saint Germain, the sixties’ cocktail party jet set or the carefree nightlife of the fifties, not to mention a bunch of mingling characters, in tuxedos or evening gowns, dandies, billionaires, poker players, temptresses and jazzmen.
