Hymn is led by one of our regular Artist Series contributors, Neeskens, who this time takes us on the indie pop-rock side of life. His vocals deliver an irresistible, powerful nonchalant drive. Hymn consists of Franck Maldonado, Jeremy Rassat, Benoit Janes, Yann Bargues, and Phil Roche aka Neeskens. With their well-crafted lyrics, these songs revolve around catchy electric guitar riffs, lively, dynamic drums, and occasional piano or pad highlights. There’s confidence and swagger in these tracks, as well as space for wistful, gentle or moody moods too. A serious, strong and percussive album, yet subtle in its range of emotions.
